Toxicity in the pesticides for bees Source: INTA Mendoza In the chemical products market, so necessary for the control of plagues and illnesses, some are dangerous to hives and its habitants. Because of this, the beekeeper must have knowledge of the chemicals that could kill his/her bees. In

used, so to avoid any damage; in this label we can find the level of danger to bees. The following are highly dangerous products for bees due to their levels of toxicity. It is recommended to move the hives at least 2000m away from the place where these products are going to be sprayed and to wait at least 10 days before moving the hives back. This information is very important for beekeepers that offer pollination services.
Non-toxics These products do not affect the bees. It is recommended for beekeepers that offer pollination services to advise its usage to yield producers and seed producers (clients).
Non-toxic under certain conditions Slightly toxic if sprayed with temperatures under 7.21° C. If the temperature is superior to 15.5° C, the active ingredients gain their toxicity for the bees, this is why is not recommended under these conditiones.
